Vision partners set out new priorities for 2019 and beyond

March 26, 2019

In July 2015, partners adopted a new Vision to improve Ipswich town centre. Entitled ‘Turning Our Town Around’, it set about re-aligning the central area of Suffolk’s County town to better connect the splendid Christchurch Park (North) with the stunning new Waterfront (South).

This new north-south emphasis has opened up new opportunities such as the office corridor in Princes Street, the redesigned Station forecourt, a new public square in Cornhill, major new housing developments at The Wine Rack and in Lower Brook Street, acquisition of development sites at the entrance to the Waterfront, and the creation of The Hold.

Almost 4 years have elapsed since the original Vision priorities were agreed. So much has been achieved. In March 2019, the partners agreed to update their future priorities and to double their efforts to continue to ‘turn the town around’.
